Passport Renewal in the Philippines PDF Print E-mail

APPLYING FOR PASSPORT RENEWAL IN THE PHILIPPINES

Filipinos who deem that it is more practical to renew their passports in the Philippines may actually do so.  However, we wish to inform everyone concerned that the waiting periods are 20 working days & 10 working days for regular processing (P950 charge per passport applied) & expedited processing (P1,200 charge per passport applied) respectively.  Those applying in the DFA Regional Consular Offices (RCOs) will incur additional four days waiting period for transporting passports from Manila to the RCO.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) discourages walk-in passport applicants.  An appointment system is in place at the DFA to ensure quick and comfortable service.

Interested parties may check the passport requirements and secure an appointment online free of charge at www.passport.com.ph or by calling the DFA hotline at (02) 737-1000.  DFA helpline numbers are: (02) 831-8971; (02) 551-4437; (02) 551-4402; (02) 834-4855 & (02) 834-4424.
